Single Heart Plaque

Standard

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my new viewers and followers,

Bev, Sue, Julie and Loz

I hope you all enjoyed the blog hop.

Today I have been working on this MDF heart plaque at a request from a friend, they wanted something for a keen gardener, so this is what I came up with, hope you like it.

garden heart

I started by covering the MDF heart with paper that had a wood grain effect, and drilled the holes with a 4mm drill bit. I used Vintage photo and Gathered Twigs around the edge. I then printed the verse and cut it out using  the Butterfly Square die by Tonic. To give it an aged look, I used Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain distress inks through the die before removing it. I have used a melt pot with UTEE and dipped the sentiment into it. The flower is from Bitty Blossoms, also dipped into UTEE. Using a glue gun to adhere the sentiment and flower in place. ( be careful if you try this, as the heat from the glue gun will melt the embossing powder, so speed is required). To finish off I have added some braid, beads and ladybirds from my stash.

thanks for popping in xx
