Welcome visitors,
I hope you have all had a good weekend, It was my 50th Birthday this week and as I love altered art, my husband has booked me on a Finnabair course for three days, I’m so excited right now, but have to wait until April lol x
My make for today was a garden for my Fairy!
My birth stone is Amethyst and a few years ago I picked up a cheap little fairy with my birthstone on it, she isn’t that pretty but I think she is cute anyway and always looks a little lost on my shelf.
So, a few weeks ago I purchased an MDF coaster set from Oyster Stamps, who are now a main supplier for Candy Box Crafts. I had the intention of making a coaster set, but I began to see the holder in a new light! my fairy garden.
So from this..
I now have this…
and it now sits just on the edge of my shelf.
I kept the flowers the colour of my birthstone, and used papers to decorate, the Believe stamp is from Sheena Douglass, and the vine in the background is a Clarity Stamp.
I added some lace and distressed it, and set a little wooden toadstool in some silicone glue, covered with flower soft.
The fairy is sitting on a little path, made from crackle paste.
I have used Heartfelt Arianna Blooms and Open Leaf, coloured with distress inks and added black flower soft in the centre.
Hope you like it
Have a good week
xx
