Heartfelt Creations Flower Garden

Standard

Hi Everyone

Well it has been a while since my last blog, and in between my little projects of family birthday and anniversary cards, I have been making this flower garden and birdcage display.

I have used all Heartfelt Creations flowers as these are my all time favourites, and I have tried to make them look as real as I possibly could, some I have stamped and others not. I have also used Heartfelt open leaf and Memory box fern.

For my cage

I started off with just white card, and cut out my birdcage in two parts, and used some wooden BBQ sticks to add strength, the base is made from MDF and I added some beads for the feet.

For the top I used an old curtain ring and a wooden door knob which I cut down.

I then aged it all using some of Andy Skinners techniques as I wanted to achieve a Medieval type look for it.

Flowers and leaves

I used plain white card for all of the flowers and leaves, and coloured them with distress inks, pro markers and Dylusions sprays.

I then shaped them and added some wire to create stems, on some of the flower centres I added flower soft and also created some small buds using the flowers from the leafy branch set.

This is the view from the top showing the Delightful Daisy and open leaf,

The Majestic Bloom is also inside the cage but is a little hidden.

I have thoroughly enjoyed making all of these flowers, it has been challenging and time-consuming, but worth it in the end

I hope you will agree

Thanks for visiting today
