Well hello there
Welcome to my blog today, I have now finished work for six lovely weeks as school is out, I hope the sun comes back soon!
I have been tidying up my craft room today to get ready for some more than usual crafty sessions.
So today I wanted to share with you a bottle which I have named swamp thing!
I used Gesso to cover the whole bottle, Using a string bag (which you buy oranges in) I glued this in place with Mod Podge, and randomly glued some strips of plasterers’ tape, some sticky backed ribbon around the top and bottom of the bottle.
Then used Gesso to cover it all again.
I sprayed Dylusions in Tangerine dream, chopped pesto and campso teal, and Lindy stamp gang starburst in milk chocolate brown.
Then to touch up I mixed a little white Gesso with distress ink – fossilized amber, and dry brushed just here and there.
From air dry clay I made some shells and barnacles, painted them and glued into place.
I found an old piece of white glittery Christmas decoration, covered it with Gesso and sprayed it with Dylusions to give it a more sea coloured look, and covered my crocodile with Inka gold.
Finally I added some paper that had a map of the Indian Ocean on it and blended it in, and used rub on words from Tim Holtz, Create, Discover and discover beauty.
Thanks for popping today
xx
