Christmas Table Piece

Standard

Hi

Buying and wrapping presents, food shopping I thought I had finished and was all ready for Christmas. But no! I forgot my centre piece for my table, so I have had to make it and I have just finished!

I had a piece of log in the garden brushed it all off and sprayed it with a sealer ( I didn’t wants bugs on my table lol )

raw materials

I took a napkin planned for Christmas dinner and found a white candle, I got Hubby to drill me a hole for the candle, I used a sheet of thick white paper and some garden string.

I decorated the candle first, by cutting out desired pattern from the napkin, separated the layers and using only the printed piece. Then I heated up the a teaspoon and rubbed it over the napkin onto the candle, the wax melted into the napkin and set in place.

Taking my sheet of white paper, I sprayed it with stick and spray and laid the napkin onto it, then varnished it all over with a sealer and dried it with a heat tool. Then Using Heartfelt Creations Poinsettia die, cut out my flowers and shaped them with a ball tool.

Glued the garden string around the log added snow dust and glitter to the top.

Then I added my flowers, leaves and gems.

So now it matches my tablecloth and napkins, I laid up the table ready for tomorrows dinner

and now I’m off for a glass of wine

Merry Christmas

  1. Beautiful centre piece and so clever to think of using a matching napkin. Have always used a heat gun to melt the wax but the back of a heated spoon sounds much gentler so I’ll give that a try next time. Merry Christmas to you all. Jeanette xxx
