Hello visitors
Its been a lovely day here, quite warm and the sun has been out, well at least until tea time then we had rain… but that’s British weather for you.
My Daughter moved house just over a month ago, and so my 4-year-old grand-daughter Chloe has a lovely new bedroom, so I decided to make a new Picture for her room, it was already decorated in a lovely plum colour and I had some 12 x 12 plum vellum and matching plum card.
So to start with I cut a piece of 12 x 12 mount board and glued onto it my backing paper, I tore the vellum more or less in half and glued this to one side.
then I distressed the edges with seedless preserve distress ink.
I laid out all of the embellishments that I wanted to include, these were a couple of strands of wool, a heart I made from plaster of paris, and flowers and beads from old jewellery
The other embellishments I added were die cut butterflies, a flourish and the flowers were Heartfelt creations sun-kissed fleur
I embossed these with clear embossing powder, and used distress ink on the flowers.
I mounted my photo onto white card then onto plum card, and added some plum triangles to the corners.
I inserted the photo just behind the vellum and added the embellishments
I added some wooden letters to finish off
I ended up mounting it onto a piece of MDF, and fixed some hooks to the back
Thanks for stopping by today
