Hi,
Hope your all enjoying the weekend, I’ve just finished decorating a pair of shoes…..
I had this pair of gold shoes and they are so comfortable but they were starting to look tatty….
I started by giving them a light rub down with fine sandpaper, then chose some rice paper to cover them with, this is my first go using rice paper, I quite liked it as it’s a bit stronger than paper napkins.
I cut the rice paper into small squares then into triangles, then using modge pod I glue the pieces onto the shoe…
I wasn’t sure whether to cover the frill, but then decided I would, this was a bit tricky as it’s all fabric and I had to do it in stages.
I covered the whole shoe with a varnish, but before I wear them out I think I will look into coating them with an outdoor sealer.

so I will be wearing these on a night out in May…. I might do a bag if I get time
thanks for looking today

Oh Wow! These are amazing, fantastic, gorgeous…what a brilliant idea, well worth doing the frills. You’ll be wearing one unique, stylish pair of shoes when you go out in these. Xx
