For my Dad

As it is Fathers Day today, I am sharing with you the card that I made for my dad.

Although it is pretty basic I just love to make the paper cogs look old and giving them some texture.

I mat and layered the brown paper and green card onto a white card.

I cut the cogs from black card and used the left over piece in the top corner.

To give the cogs texture I used art Extravagance graphite paste ( I love this stuff) ! Once dried, I lightly rubbed over some wax to give it a rusted look and glued them into place.

The pocket watch I cut out and covered with some glossy accents, I added some cardboard letters ‘dad’ and a Happy Fathers Day sentiment that I printed onto patterned paper.

I found an old watch and the metal rim was a perfect fit for it.
