Summer Fun

Hello there

It’s a lovely sunny day here in Lordswood so I thought I would share my Sunny Scrapbook page with you all today.

Its coming up to Chloe’s 6th Birthday and usually I buy flowers for my daughter Shan, but I thought I would make her a gift this year instead.

I haven’t made many scrapbook pages as I am quite a beginner at this, the pages I have made and put in an album don’t get seen often, so I thought Shan could display it for as long as she wants then when she wants to change the picture it can go in an album and I can make a new one to display for a while.

I had some flowery paper to use as my main page but after taking the advice of my friend Sue Bage it turned out much better as she suggested a white background. So thanks Sue x.

I used Heartfelt creations Cut Mat Create dies 1A,1B,2A,2B to mat and layer my photos, inked the edges of the white embossed card with distress ink in ripe persimmon and used the flowery paper to cut out the leaves.

I added a few embellishments and put it in a white frame to which I added some silver gilding flakes and then varnished it.
