Medal Plaque

It’s been a while!

I have recently taken up running!!

I joined a club called Beginners2runners in January and graduated about 10 weeks later. After being able to run a 5k.

I haven’t really done any running since leaving school, many moons ago!!

I am actually amazed that I can do it, even more so that I love running.

Anyway I only have one medal at the moment but hope to add to my collection.

I kept seeing medal holders pop up on face book so I decided to make one for myself.

As usual my friendly MDF and some distress inks, a flowery stamp and some water-colour pencils.

Firstly I printed out the words and running lady onto some card and then foiled it.

Then glued it onto the MDF and trimmed it.

I used picked raspberry, salty ocean and wilted violet distress inks for my background and blended them together. Then I stamped the flowers and heat embossed them with black embossing powder. I coloured the flowers using Inktense pencils and a white pen.

I added some splodges and little leaves then sprayed it all over with a clear sealer.

I cut out black circles to take the letters and behind these are the hooks for the medals. To finish off I added gems and some clear wink of stella.
