I was asked to make a medal holder, well two actually a meter long,

so this is three times the size that I have been making.

Hubby cut me some MDF to size and routed the edges, then I rubbed it down lightly.

 

Then painted it with gesso

I rubbed it down lightly again between all coats, I used art Americana Decor chalk paint in Remembrance (a lilac colour)

then using a sponge and some white paint I dabbed it over the whole area.

I added the runner and wording from my printer and stamped flowers onto it, I did these one at a time as they were then heat embossed in clear embossing powder.

The flowers are mainly from Lavinia stamps, I added a few butterflies and Inkylicious grasses, and put 24 hooks in place

I hope Lyne and Martin are happy with their medal holders and I’m sure they have plenty of medals to display
