Rope Bottles

Standard

Hi!!

Its been ages since my last blog! over two years!

I hope you have all been safe and well during lockdown and this worrying time that we are all going through.

I have been fairly busy and sometimes lazy lol, but not always crafting, I’ve been running, managed my 1st half marathon in August of this year raising money for Tommy’s baby charity, work has been quite busy too.

I’ve had two weddings my daughters and my step sons, and I made invitations and place names for them, a new baby has arrived! 5th grandchild little Clay, he arrived in April this year.

I had a go at Paddle boarding that was fun and also tried some wood turning, I enjoyed that but that wasn’t so easy lol.

However I did make these bottles some time ago, and thought it was about time to start sharing my makes again.

I had these lovely shaped bottles that also had some lovely tasting wine in them, which I thoroughly enjoyed! lol

I started off by covering them with some masking tape, one smooth and the other rough to add some texture.

The glass bottles had a nice diamond pattern on it, so I followed this shape and glued the string in place finishing off by wrapping it around the top.

Using Finnabair art alchemy waxes I covered the the diamonds and the string.

Then I sprayed it with a gloss sealer and added some embelishments.

I added the moon and tassels to finish off.
